WPXI’s Vince Sims was the event MC and captured the audience with his presentation. Vince created a hype and anticipation for the next act with his deliverance.

Norman Connors and Friends open their set with a couple of powerful instrutmentals. They were followed by Masterplan that had Norman doing a little scat accompanied by Danny (Boy) Stewart. Danny Boy followed with his verisons of Bobby Caldwell’s What You Won’t Do For Love and Stevie Wonder’s Do I do. Danny Boy was joined on stage by Sherena Wynn as they performed Valentine Love,. Sherena wowed the crowed as she performed Phyliss Hyman’s Betcha By Golly Wow. Sherena and Danny Boy performed a heart thumping Jamaica Funk to the crowd’s delite and they followed with a soulful crowd pleasing verison of Stormy Monday. This segement was one of the several standing ovations that was received throughtout the evening.

As the show came to a close, it was apparent that Norman Connors and Friends had delivered as promised even with the absence of two of the stars, Tom Browne and Eddie Baccus Jr. Norman and Friends lived up the expectations that were created with naming of the initial line up. Brother 2 Brother, Sherena Wynn, and Danny Boy gave the crowd everything they wanted and more. Russell Thompson filled in for Eddie Baccus Jr.and played a great sax.
